This week, we learned about Diwali during a joyful assembly led by Hoover student presenters, parent volunteers, and a special performer! The room was filled with pride and excitement as students shared information about the holiday. Then we all learned a few dance routines from Sandeep and we danced together to songs from this playlist.
The assembly was such a good reminder of how each student has so many beautiful layers - both seen and unseen - including their backgrounds, experiences, cultures, abilities and perspectives. Our Hoover community shines so bright when we celebrate, honor, and foster acceptance for one another. Together we soar - by embracing both our unique individuality and the sense of community that connects us. Thank you, Hoover Hawks, for shining your light and glowing bright!
